The massive 10-day festival returns for its second year at London’s Victoria Park in Hackney and will run 24 May – 2 June. Bon Iver will be joined by Mac DeMarco, First Aid Kit, John Grant and many more at All Points East on 2 June.
The announcement follows last week’s news that the 2019 edition of All Points East is to kick off on 24 May with a headline set by ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ hitmakers The Chemical Brothers. Hot Chip, Primal Scream, Little Dragon, Spiritualized, Danny Brown, Little Simz and Ibibio Sound Machine are also on the opening day’s bill.
All Points East will mark Bon Iver’s biggest headline gig to date. And with such a prestigious date coming up, we can only hope that new material is on its way.
Mac DeMarco is no stranger to playing Victoria Park, so we’re already looking forward to selections from his albums Rock And Roll Night Club, 2, Salad Days and This Old Dog.
Elsewhere, Sweden’s First Aid Kit have established themselves as firm festival favourites since they broke through with their third album, Stay Gold, in2014.
And you can be sure that John Grant is going to bring the beats and that gorgeous voice to the party. His rise since the release of his 2010 debut album, Queen Of Denmark, has been a joy to watch.
Also added to the bill is The Tallest Man On Earth – better known as Kristian Mattson to his mum – and singer-songwriter Julien Baker. More acts included are Matador signee Snail Mail and Congolese collective KOKOKO!
More names will be announced over the coming weeks.
Tickets for the Bon Iver bill are available at 9am, Friday, 16 November. Check here for ticket information
