Michael Eavis and other Glastonbury bigwigs will once again be holding the massively successful ‘Battle Of The Bands’ where new bands fight it out onstage to win a much coveted set at the UK’s biggest festival.
Last years joint winners, Blackbud and The Subways have gone to play blistering sets at the festival and ultimately have been signed by record labels.
The competition does rely on the festival being awarded a licence. Mendip Council will be making their decision on whether or not to give the weekend long festival the go ahead in November.
Any bands wishing to be considered for the face off which will once again take place at Pilton Working Mens Club in March should send demo CD’s to PO Box 3601, Glastonbury, BA6 9ZH as soon as possible, entries received later then January 10, 2005 will not be considered.
