US music producer Phil Spector has settled an embezzlement claim which will see him rewarded $900,000 in damages.
The producer is currently on trial in the US on suspicion of murdering b-movie star, Lana Clarkson, in 2003.
Spector said that his former assistant Michelle Blaine had removed $425,000 from his pension and had failed to replay a $635,000 loan.
Ms Blaine had claimed that the pension funds were going towards a film to help boost the 66 year old producer’s image, and that the loan was a gift. She has also dropped a counter-claim of sexual harassment as part of the deal.
Spector has famously worked with artists including The Beatles and Cher.
