Lily Allen is planning one beginning her second album in the summer.
The outspoken pop star has a busy schedule over the next six months, but wants to start writing new material after she has played the festivals.
She wrote on her online blog: â€œI go to Japan again on the 10th (January) and then off to New Zealand and OZ fer Big Day Out , I can't wait then I'm off to LA for a bit before returning to England for my short tour and then some festivals .
â€œHopefully after that I can get to writing the next album .â€
She also thanked fans for making 2006 so successful. She added: â€œI want to thank everyone for contributing to make this the most amazing year of my life, I've had such a laugh and have achieved so much more than I could ever have anticipated.â€
As previously reported, Lily will be bringing the New Year in on Jools Hollandsâ€™ Hootenanny on the BBC.
Her spring UK tour takes in the following dates:
