Thom Yorke has praised his fellow Mercury Music Prize nominated Arctic Monkeys for their attitude.

The Radiohead frontman respects the band’s self assured stance in the face of a lot of publicity.

He said: “What I like about them most is they’re not letting anyone push them around. That, to me, especially given the stage they’re at, is the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, Mr Yorke has also been confirmed for an xfm live session and interview on ‘Xposure with John Kennedy’ to be aired on August 22 at 10pm.

Thom Yorke’s ‘The Eraser’ and Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ are amongst the albums going head to head for the coveted Mercury Music Prize gong in September.
