Earlier this week, Foo Fighters announced they will play Manchester Etihad Stadium 19 June and London Stadium 22 & 23 June. With tickets set to be available here from 9am today (20 October).

The colossal gigs are in support of new album Concrete and Gold, for which the band enlisted producer Greg Kurstin, who despite working formerly for Sia, Kelly Clarkson and Adele, has kept Foo Fighters a hard-rocking proposition.

Beloved by UK audiences for timeless bangers like ‘My Hero’, ‘The Pretender’, ‘All My Life’ and ‘Everlong’, the group have inhabited the top-end of the rock zeitgeist since Grohl broke his leg a couple of years ago and are naturally adept to playing on the world's biggest stages.

The band had a solid 2017 in the UK as they headlined Glastonbury, launched a pop-up pub in east London the same week they played the 02, and welcomed Rick Astley of ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ fame onstage for a series of tongue-in-cheek guest spots.

Meanwhile, over on home soil, Foo Fighters performed at Cal Jam Festival and welcomed guest guitarist Joe Perry. Perry, who performed the original Cal Jam festival back in 1978, joined forces with the Foos for the Aerosmith classic ‘Draw The Line’.

Elsewhere, in an exclusive interview with Gigwise guitarist Chris Shiflett chats about his solo album, discusses his love of the Bakersfield sound with the likes of Buck Owens being an influence on him.
