Marilyn Manson has teased fans in the lead up to the release of his new album, Heaven Upside Down, by posting a picture of one of his advertising posters.

While no date has been confirmed for the new album – the follow-up to 2015’s The Pale Emperor – the poster makes reference to his new track, ‘We Know Where You Fucking Live’, which the shock rocker premiered on his European tour during the summer.

The post, which originally appeared on Instagram, said: “Illuminate the suspense of terror with expressing the inexpressible. The unfreedom of thought, hardened by casual violence allows me to prepare us all for the disintegration of what our world has become.

“We will clean up our own shit. And we will make those who fed us, dig a god-sized toilet for themselves to swim in.”

Judging by the live footage of ‘We Know Where You Fucking Live’ that’s surfaced online, the track finds Manson and his band in familiar heavy territory with hints of Mechanical Animals-era glam that augers well for the new album.

Speaking of the new album earlier this year, Manson said: “It’s by far the most thematic and over-complicated thing that I’ve done. In a way, it’s deceptively delightful to strangers. It’s like the old saying that the devil’s greatest secret is that people don’t believe he exists.”

Marilyn Manson returns to the UK for a five-date tour in December where he’ll play Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Newport and London. He plays:

04 - Manchester, O2 Apollo
05 - Glasgow, O2 Academy
06 - Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
08 - Newport, Centre
09 - London, SSE Arena Wembley
