The multi-venue Dutch festival will take place in November

Thurston Moore, Sex Swing and XAM Duo are just three of the 150 or so artists confirmed for this year’s Le Guess Who? festival which is scheduled to take place November 9 -12 in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The multi-venue festival will see theatres, churches, galleries and warehouses all being utilized for the event.

Electronic sound explorer James Holden has been added as curator for Le Guess Who? and will host multiple stages on Saturday, November 11.

Artists curated by James Holden include Bosnian accordion master Mario Batkovic, Jerusalem In My Heart, Hieroglyphic Being's mix of industrial, acid house, and spiritual jazz. Also curated are noise brutes Sex Swing, Ex-Easter Island Head and Hookworms off-shoot XAM Duo as well as jazz stalwarts Shabaka & The Ancestors. Holden will also present his new performance, James Holden and The Animal Spirits.

Additional acts rounding out the curated programs include a solo piano performance by Cate Le Bon, and Lost Horizons: the new project from Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins, both curated by Perfume Genius.

They all join previously announced artists for the festival which include include jazz legend Pharoah Sanders, Bulgarian women's choir Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, Mali’s Oumou Sangaré, dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson, Ben Frost; Mount Eerie, William Basinski, GAS, Jenny Hval and Protomartyr.

Also playing are jazz singer Linda Sharrock, Moor Mother, Matana Roberts, legendary Lebanese singer Abdel Karim Shaar, tUnE-yArDs, Sun Kil Moon, Aldous Harding, Weyes Blood, Liars, Kelly Lee Owens, and The Black Power Tarot.
