Attaching his upload with a simple hashtag, #voodoo, Aphex Twin’s latest Soundcloud upload is full of eerie hums and ahh’s, providing a chilling tone to the throbbing bass beat.
Nearing six minutes, ‘tnodvood104’ features a tribal-inspired beat, truly enhancing the voodoo-like vibe. Slowly progressing through the conjuring charm of the haunting harmonies, Aphex Twin continues to embrace the ghostly tones, creating both an infectious and eerie aura.
Aphex Twin, aka Richard David James, announced new music earlier this year, as well as revealing that he’s been confirmed to headline the main stage at London's Field Day festival in 2017. This headline slot will be his first UK show in five years.
The British electronica artist performed earlier in December in the U.S at Houston’s Day for Night festival, marking his first U.S performance since 2008.
