A Foo Fighters fan is attempting to raise money to 'buy' frontman Dave Grohl just so they can hang out together.
Frank Pain, a radio host for Texas' Rock 108 hopes to raise $35,000 (roughly £25,000) to help fund his cause. Pain's reasons are clear for wanting his GoFundMe to succeed, "I'm his biggest fan and figured I can round up enough scratch to purchase him so we can hang out and high five and shit. Heck, I may give him a bro-hug or two as well."
He went on to say, "I'm not 100% the amount I'm asking for will buy him. Hell, I'm not even sure if it's legal to purchase another human being...If it is indeed illegal to purchase another human (or if Mr. Grohl isn't a willing purchasee) then I'll spend the money on beer because Dave seems like the kind of person that would want me to drink beer".
Currently Pain has raised $443 out of the $35,000 after one day. And, if the funding carries on at this rate it will only take Pain just over seventy-nine days to raise the money needed. As a reward donators are promised, "a cool text message that includes some emojis that no one understands".
Pain has since taken to Twitter to voice how "extremely" humbled he is by the recognition gained by the campaign, adding: "This is the most fun I've had in a very long time".
Gotta tell ya, I'm extremely humbled by the outpouring of support with my Dave Grohl campaign. What started out... https://t.co/4YHL6odkUy

If Dave Grohl does indeed hear about the campaign you wouldn't put it past him to respond. Recently, Dave Grohl wrote an incredible letter of response to the Cornwall Council after a local metal band had contacted Grohl in order to protest local noise restriction rules.
