The marriage of two of the worlds best new bands was always going to be a recipe for success and fortunately the electronic reworking of the psych R&B hit far exceeds our high expectations.
Lee Blackwell's vocals are stripped from their usual guitar and drum driven sound and imaginatively transformed to fit on top of a fluid beat that nods to the warm analog electronic production of Jagwar Ma hero Andrew Weatherall.
Ever since signing to Heavenly Records last year, Night Beats have been on an extraordinary rise. They were somewhat a cult commodity on their first two albums, now with the release of Who Sold My Generation? earlier this year they've broken the small venue circuit and are set to play Scala for their next London show. The band are also heading out on the road with grunge veratans Dinsoaur JR - an honour instilled on only the best guitar bands in the business.
Meanwhile, Jagwar Ma are in the final stages of completion on their follow up to their incredible 2013 debut album, Howlin'. They are set to play club shows in May across the UK and a host of festivals in summer.
