Jack Daniel’s has created a tribute bottle to Motörhead in honour of their late frontman, Lemmy.
Lemmy, who passed away on 28 December after losing a battle against cancer, was known for his love of JD and coke. Shortly after his passing, a petition was launched to rename Jack Daniels and Coke to a ‘Lemmy’. The petition gained 44,000 online signatures.
The new beautiful and unique packaging retains the Jack Daniel brand, whilst celebrating 40 years of Motörhead.

The first batch of the tribute whiskey was leaked on the Atlantic City Bottling Company’s website and very quickly sold out. The item has since been removed, but apparently read “Motörhead’s hand selected batch of Jack Daniels® Single Barrel Select whiskey celebrates 40 years of the loudest rock band on this planet.”
"Once a privileged reserve only for the Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller – exploring the nuances of whiskey from a single barrel. Today, connoisseurs around the world can savor this experience on their own.”
"We have selected one that is dark, oaky, but still some corn and sweetness with that signature Jack smooth charcoal smoky finish… Raise a glass and celebrate with Motörhead and their ol’ friend Jack."
Recently, former Motörhead guitarists, Phil Campbell and ‘Fast’ Eddie Clarke explained why they missed Lemmy’s funeral, whilst Dave Grohl, Slash and more honoured the Ace Of Spades singer at a memorial service.
