Tiggs Da Author has released his new single 'Run', which features the brilliant Lady Leshurr. Listen to it on Gigwise below.

Tiggs Da Author moved to London at the age of eight from Tanzania, where he was born and raised. The 25 year-old multi-faceted poet, rapper, singer, songwriter and producer is inspired by obscure 60s documentaries and East African Jazz, Dizzee Rascal and Motown. His resulting sound is unique to say the least. Read Gigwise's interview with Tiggs Da Author here.

His latest track, ‘Run’ is about escaping life’s troubles and is distinctively reminiscent of Ray Charles. Discussing the track, Tiggs said, “The song is about escaping your troubles and just getting away from certain situations and not letting life's little dramas bring you down. Sometimes it's better to just run! It's always great to collaborate with an amazing artist like Lady Leshurr but it's even better when you're friends. We’ve known each other for a long time and she nailed it."

The track appeared on Fifa 16 and was the soundbed for ITV’s 2015 Rugby World Cup trailer. Tiggs first performed the track on Later with Jools towards the end of last year.
