Celebrities love playing poker, so I look at the legendary celebrity poker players who have won the most at the tables.

I’m choosing not to include many Hollywood celebrities who like to play poker but aren’t that successful. I’m focusing on worldwide celebrities who now make a great living playing Texas Hold ‘Em and other forms of poker.

Alejandro Lococo

Alejandro Lococo might not be a household name to Americans, especially those who don’t play poker, but the Argentinian rapper knows a thing or two about playing poker.

He has essentially changed careers, and despite being a successful South American rapper, he’s now dominating the tables with over $14.9 million in earnings, including a $12 million win at the 2024 $500,000 Triton Million at WSOP Paradise.

The high roller also finished seventh in the 2021 WSOP Main Event for $1.2 million, which showed that he can run deep and outduel professionals and celebrities.

Lococo is a name to remember, and he could win many more big tournaments. He’s one of the best celebrity poker players, if not the best, of all time.

Victoria Cohen Mitchell

One of the smartest poker players, Victoria Cohen Mitchell, used to dominate the scene before taking a backward step from playing.

She is married to David Mitchell of The Peep Show and Would I Lie to You, which are massive TV shows in the UK. She has presented many TV shows herself, but if it weren’t for a TV career, she would have made more than her current $2.5 million total.

Celebrity female poker players can be hard to find, but Cohen Mitchell has enough smarts to compete on the global stage in any tournament. Much like Liv Boree, who is a poker player turned celeb, Cohen Mitchell deserves to be on the list.

Jennifer Tilly

I wasn’t sure if Jennifer Tilly deserved to be on the list, but she is a regular on the Celebrity Poker Tour, and she has played high stakes cash games for years.

Her poker play in tournaments isn’t outstanding, but she has over $1 million in earnings, and she can hold her own. Her biggest wins have come on High Stakes Poker, where she is a regular. She knows the order of winning poker hands, and that’s evident by her stellar play, as well as her willingness to put chips in the middle.

Tilly is one of the most recognized celebrity names in poker, and she’s more recognized as a poker player as opposed to an actress.

James Woods

With the WSOP on the horizon, we can expect to see actor James Woods in action.

The outspoken and controversial actor is good for poker, and he has made some deep runs in WSOP events, including finishing eighth in a WSOP event in 2021.

Woods, who regularly featured in Family Guy episodes, is a capable player, and he would hold his own against some of the best professionals.

Ben Affleck

There was a time when Ben Affleck looked right at home at the poker table. His unassuming manner wasn’t like most celebs, who liked to attract attention to themselves, Phil Hellmuth style.

It was this composure that saw Affleck make deep runs in many tournaments, and although his winnings are nothing on his acting career, he’s considered one of the best celebrity poker players.

Expect to see Affleck and his buddy Matt Damon at the tables in Las Vegas.

Rick Salomon

I used the term “celebrity” loosely when calling Rick Salomon one. He is famous for having a certain tape with Paris Hilton, and he also had high-profile marriages to Shannen Doherty and Pamela Anderson.

The 57-year-old is now a professional poker player, earning more than $9.9 million on the tables, where thankfully, he has put the camcorder down.

There is no doubt about his talents, and although he doesn’t play a lot of tournaments, he made his name when finishing fourth twice and third in the Big One for One Drop, which is a $1 million buy-in.

Most of his earnings came from those three cashes, but they were tough tournaments, so he played well.
