Apparently Pete Doherty has now walked out on Babyshambles once and for all, because – wait for it – his groupie girlfriend has said he’s too GOOD for the band.
Doherty broke the news just hours before he was due on stage at yesterday's Big Gay Out festival in London. And it comes just days after Pete fired his manager, James Mullard after another row with skinny bird Kate Moss.
A ‘friend’ of Pete's reported to the News of the World today, that in a drunken phonecall Doherty told him:
“I don’t know what to do. The band aren’t my friends and I’ve had enough. Kate said I’m too good for Babyshambles.â€
For fucks sake Moss, if you want to be in a band that much – the newly reformed Bananarama are missing an original member…
The new Babyshambles’ single, ‘Fuck Forever,’ is now due for release on August 15 and even though the band has postponed its UK tours – promoters are resolute that the gigs will go ahead at some point.
However, Babyshambles’ remaining members – Drew McConnell, Adam Ficek and Pat Walden – have reportedly told pals that they’ve had enough. NotW’s source added: ‘They’ve had their fair share of problems and in-fighting, but it’s gone too far, which is a real shame.’
Not for Moss it ain't…
