It says a lot about Bryan Ferry that the mere mention of his name to someone can conjure up an assortment of different responses: Roxy Music frontman, fashion icon, solo star. Indeed, in an era when musicians are battling to remain relevant, for Ferry, who is about to enter his fifth decade in music, the task seems almost as effortless as his style.
As the singer releases his latest solo album ‘Olympia’, Gigwise editor Jason Gregory sat down for a rare interview about the album, which features an all-star cast of musicians including Scissor Sisters, Radiohead and Groove Armada.
The interview also saw Ferry reflect on his musical heritage, thoughts on the current scene and what is planned for Roxy Music in 2011.
