If you're going to love a band, like really love a band, they need to be more than a good haircut and a handful of brilliant tunes - they need to have something to say. Fortunately, Trampolene are the perfect package.

As well as being a raucous explosion of rock n' roll done properly, they also have a fine poet in the form of frontman Jack Jones. With a John Cooper Clarke-esque delivery of his sideways glance into the uglier corners of modern society, Trampolene shows are often punctuated by wistful and witty poems. One of our personal favourites is the cutting commentary on drugs and disenfranchised youth, 'Ketamine'.
While he was in our office for a session, it seemed only right that we asked him to drop a poem or two.
Trampolene will be playing Nambucca in London on Wednesday 16 December. For tickets and more information, visit here.
