Optronica 2005 thrusts the festival concept into the future with the incorporation of DJ sets, visual art and debut film screenings in a weekend event. Far more appealing than a TV dinner, the festival will be dotted around London from 20-22 July.

The main guy to watch out for is DJ Spooky (aka That Subliminal Kid). The New York- based artist is working his way through this years best festivals, staging his music/film set 'Rebirth Of a Generation' at the IMAX on the 22nd.
