Following in the footsteps of Michael Eavis farmer and landowner Doug Durrant this summer launches the latest event to hit the long summer calendar of UK festivals. Based at the 165 acre Sunnyridge farm in the Cambridgeshire countryside not only does Lodestar boast an idyllic location but a stellar line up of some of the world’s best indie-rock bands too.
The festival takes place over the first weekend of September and will feature performances from the likes of The Rakes, Idlewild, Architecture In Helsinki, British Sea Power, The Pigeon Detectives, Good Shoes, The Bees and Badly Drawn Boy to name but a few.
All this will come backed by an atmosphere that will “give people that thrill of taking a step outside the pressures of their everyday lives to enjoy live music in the sunshine,” according to organiser Doug.
Gigwise has two pairs of weekend tickets including camping to give away. All you have to do is answer this really easy question.
Which band are most famous for singing the song ‘The Combine Harvester’?
1. Chas n’ Dave
2. The Wurzels
3. The Gypsy Kings
