Take one part Breeders, one part Mazzy Star and stir with lots of weird, mature with some Californian sun and you get Giant Drag. Foul mouthed front woman Annie Hardy and multi-tasking drummer Micah Calabrese are the LA duo who have charmed our hearts with their twisted take indie-grunge.
This week they release the latest single to be taken from their much lauded debut album ‘Hearts & Unicorns’. ‘This Isn’t It’ is a bittersweet tale with Hardy telling her imaginery beau that their supposed love for each other is non-existent. The single looks set to cement the pairs place in the hearts of us critics and music lovers everywhere for a long time to come.
To celebrate the release Gigwise has got a pretty darn good set of prizes for you to win. We’ve got three copies of the ‘This Isn’t It’ single on limited edition 7” picture vinyl and three limited edition copies of the band’s ‘Kevin Is Gay’ on limited edition CD. Each winner will get one copy of each format.
