Gruff Rhys is set to release a brand new single in December with an album to follow in early January 2007. The single and title track of the album – ‘Candylion’ which features guest vocalist Lisa Jen from Welsh medievalists 9 Bach. Whilst preparing to recording a new Super Furry Animals album – currently being mixed – Gruff also completed work on ‘Candylion’ his second solo album. Recorded mainly with Gorwel Owen in Llanfaelog, Wales with additional recording and mixing taking place in Rio De Janeiro with Mario Caldato Jr.
