About
Formed in late-2005 in South London, Third Light have built a canon of unforgettable rock tunes for the masses - songs with solar rhythms bathed in melodic distortion, a shuddering wall of dramatic rock-pop energy replete with epic anthems and hooks . With their debut single “Leaders & Followers” available for download on iTunes shortly, and a debut album coming in early 2009, Third Light are fast becoming the UK’s new epic rock hope…
In 2006, one of the band's tracks “Gone Too Long” was used on a Barclays Premier League advert that aired on BBC World. The same track was also used in early 2007 for the launch of the Popworld Pulp magazine, based on the popular music television show on Channel 4.
The band recorded a 4 track EP, "Iodine", in July 2007 at Invincible Studios with Scotch Gnarly; and began production on their debut album "Built By Machines" in September 2008. It’s expected release date is early 2009, and is being self-produced by the band.
Third Light are DJ Wallis (vocals/guitar), Mike Payne (lead guitar/production/noise/vocals), Mark Dainty (drums) and Martin Bell (bass/vocals).
