The band, who recently said that they are working on the follow-up to their album 'Battle For The Sun', will play Edinburgh's HMV Picture House on April 25 and Liverpool's Olympia venue on April 26 before they play their previously announced London show on April 28.

Speaking about the London show, Placebo frontman Brian Molko said : "As a band, we follow our own philosophy of making the music we want to make, putting faith in our songs and records. The Sundance Film Festival has been championing similarly like-minded people for over 30 years and encouraging them to put faith in their own talent".

The rapper has cancelled shows at Yeovil's Westland Conference and Leisure Complex on Feb 16 and The Venue in North Petherton Feb 17.

Disappointed fans are entitled to a full refund on their tickets for the Yeovil show but nothing has been announced about the upcoming North Petherton gig.

Professor Green has recently asked singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran if we would like to do a collaboration, while he has also cited Florence and the Machine as a dream act to work with.

Meanwhile, it was announced today (February 3) that Professor Green is set to play at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend in June.

The tour, featuring support from Inspiral Carpets, will kick off at Newcastle Academy on May 2, with dates in Glasgow, Manchester and Sheffield.

The Happy Mondays Reunion - A Brief History

The band will now play the London Forum on March 22 and 23 as part of a five-date European tour to coincide with the release of the band's new album.

The Shins recently unveiled their first single - 'Simple Song' - from their forthcoming album 'Port Of Morrow' - you can listen to it below.

The album, set for release in March, is the follow-up to 2007's Wincing the Night Away.

The album will be released through frontman James Mercer's Aural Apothecary label with Columbia Records, after leaving Sub Pop in 2008. It was recorded during the past year in Los Angeles and Portland.

Mercer teamed up with Gnarls Barkley's Danger Mouse as part of the Broken Bells project in 2009, and released the EP Meyrin Fields earlier this year.

The Happy Mondays Reunion - A Brief History

The tour kicks off on April 15th in Dublin, followed by Belfast on the 16th. They will then head over to England for a whopping 12 dates, starting in Liverpool on the 19th and culminating with the final show at Brixton Academy on May 4th.

'Weapons' is the follow up to 2010's 'The Betrayed' and has been preceded by the release of new track 'Better Off Dead'. The track is available for free download from the band's Facebook page.

The Glaswegians will be trying out material for their forthcoming album in London, Liverpool and Glasgow.

The short tour starts at London's Relentless Garage on April 3, before moving on to O2 Academy Liverpool 2 on April 4 and ending with a homecoming show at Glasgow Classic Grand on April 5.

Writing on the band's Facebook, front man Rab Allan said: “These are just wee shows to try out some of the new material we've been doing along with the older stuff. Hope you can make it down. I think they will be special little gigs. Hopefully more gigs in more cities not long after if all goes well.”

The new material is scheduled for a 2012 release and will follow-up 2011's 'EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \' album.
