<p>The band, who recently said that they are working on the follow-up to their album 'Battle For The Sun', will play Edinburgh's HMV Picture House on April 25 and Liverpool's Olympia venue on April 26 before they play their previously announced London show on April 28. <br />

Speaking about the London show, Placebo frontman Brian Molko said : &quot;As a band, we follow our own philosophy of making the music we want to make, putting faith in our songs and records. <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;" class="western">Disappointed fans are entitled to a full refund on their tickets for the Yeovil show but nothing has been announced about the upcoming North Petherton gig.</p>

The Shins recently unveiled their first single - 'Simple Song' - from their forthcoming album 'Port Of Morrow' - you can listen to it below. <br />
<br />
The album, set for release in March, is the follow-up to 2007's Wincing the Night Away.<br />
<br />
The album will be released through frontman James Mercer's Aural Apothecary label with Columbia Records, after leaving Sub Pop in 2008. It was recorded during the past year in Los Angeles and Portland.<br />
<br />
Mercer teamed up with Gnarls Barkley's Danger Mouse as part of the Broken Bells project in 2009, and released the EP Meyrin Fields earlier this year.<br />

<p>Their 12-date&nbsp; March tour will kick off at Edinburgh HMV Picture House on March 5 and concludes at Cambridge Corn Exchange on the 19.<br />

The band, who released second album 'Ceremonials' last year, will play a total of 16 dates on the trek. <br />

The tour will kick off on April 14 in Santa Barbara, California includes appearances on April 15 and 22 at the Coachella Music Festival, and on May 3 at the New Orleans Jazz Fest.<br />

Meanwhile, Florence and the Machine have released a new music video for track 'Lover To Lover' &ndash; you can <a href="http://www.gigwise.com/news/70313/Florence-And-The-Machine-Debut-Lover-To-Lover-Video---Watch">watch it now. </a><br />

The band have debuted a live performance of 'Lover To Lover', taken from their second album Ceremonials.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Glasvegas have announced that they will play three dates across the UK in April.</strong></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">The Glaswegians will be trying out material for their forthcoming album in London, Liverpool and Glasgow.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">The short tour starts at London's Relentless Garage on April 3, before moving on to O2 Academy Liverpool 2 on April 4 and ending with a homecoming show at Glasgow Classic Grand on April 5.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">Writing on the band's Facebook, front man Rab Allan said: &ldquo;These are just wee shows to try out some of the new material we've been doing along with the older stuff. Hope you can make it down. I think they will be special little gigs. Hopefully more gigs in more cities not long after if all goes well.&rdquo;</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">The new material is scheduled for a 2012 release and will follow-up 2011's 'EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \' album.</p>
