Accused of covering up claims that Savile sexually abused young girls on their property to maintain their own reputation, the incidents are reported to have happened in the 1970s when the presenter was recording ‘Clunk Click’.

It is claimed that a Newsnight investigation was buried held reports into Savile’s past including that of a pupil at Duncroft Approved School in Staines. The presenter was a regular visitor to the school, where it is claimed he molested a public in his dressing room when she was 14 or 15 years of age. Also within in the program are thought to be claims from other women who were abused by Savile.

The Daily Telegraph have also reported that the Newsnight documentary contains reports that two other celebrities, both of whom are still alive, we involved in similar acts. A BBC Source featured in The Daily Telegraph is quoted as saying "The extreme nature of the claims about Savile meant that the Newsnight report was going to seriously compromise the lavish BBC tributes scheduled to run later the same month.

Newsnight dropped the program last December following Savile’s death two months earlier and reports that it would clash with scheduled programming to commemorate Savile’s career. Now strongly denying any truth in the currently circulating rumours, the BBC have taken a very strong stance against the story.
Newsnight editor Pete Rippon said the program was dropped as it could not be “sustained”.

"It is absolutely untrue that the Newsnight investigation was dropped for anything other than editorial reasons," said Rippon.

"We have been very clear from the start that the piece was not broadcast because the story we were pursuing could not be substantiated. To say otherwise is false and very damaging to the BBC and individuals.

"To allege that we are withholding evidence from the police is also damaging and false. The notion that internal pressure was applied appears to be a malicious rumour."

A BBC spokesperson also said "Any suggestion that a story was dropped for anything other than editorial reasons is completely untrue.

"The BBC gathers information on hundreds of stories and not all make it to air. In this case the angle we were pursuing could not be substantiated."

Quoting sources, All ThingsD claims that Apple's manufacturers are now going into 'crunch mode' in the final preparations for a launch event for the new iPad in next month.

The Next Web said: "Apple’s pre-event weeks are often spent soliciting demonstrations from many app developers and preparing demonstrations of those apps for the live event. Our sources tell us that this selection process is continuing at an increased rate as Apple looks to finalize the lineup for the iPad 3."

Rumours suggest the new iPad will be slightly thicker than the current model, and that it was feature a high-resolution screen with a Retina Display function.

This year a surprising amount of British nominees have made the short list as the cream of the crop in the eyes of those behind the Grammy’s. Adele have received a staggering six nominations while folk band Mumford and Sons also hold four nominations across the Grammy’s 78 categories.

Looking at who has been nominated, who should have been nominated and who will probably win regardless of what anybody else thinks, there are some who are truly worthy. While we might all be a little bored of hearing ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and other various tracks from Adele’s phenomenally successful second album ‘21’, you cannot deny that this kind of recognition doesn’t come off hype alone. Sure to win the majority of the BRIT Awards she has also been nominated for, Adele is a strong contender for the ‘Record Of The Year’ Award at this year’s Grammy’s.

However she might just have to begrudgingly give over the ‘Album Of The Year’ award to somebody else. With Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Rihanna all up for the same category the competition is tough. On the same night as the Grammy’s this year, Lady Gaga is launching her ‘Born This Way Foundation’ just down the road in Los Angeles, an event which is thought to be an after party for the celebrities attending this year’s Grammy’s. With this and the announcement not only of her biggest tour ever, but the longest of any recording artist in some years, Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ is a sure bet for ‘Album Of The Year’.

Recent hype and news clippings are one way to predict how well an artist will fair in awards season. Looking to the Best New Artist category there is one name who has run a mile ahead to be the clear winner; Nicki Minaj. As a relatively new artist the rapper has recently performed at the Super Bowl with Madonna, The Queen of Pop. It doesn’t get any bigger than performing with the biggest pop star in the world at the biggest sporting event on the planet making the pink haired popstar a shoe-in for the award.

Performing at this year’s award ceremony is another strange and slightly awkward mixture of stars. Foo Fighters are to team up with David Guetta , Coldplay will duet with Rihanna and The Beach Boys are to perform live with Foster The People and Maroon 5. A weird but hopefully wonderful set of performances will also indicate who will win on the night. Kanye West leads the way in the year’s nominations with seven, while Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars are just behind, along with Adele who is to make her first live performance after throat surgery, with six nominations each.

While the Grammy’s are an honourable award ceremony unlike so many others, it must also be taken into account that the public have nothing to do with who wins on the night and only industry insiders get the final say on who should win. An interesting step which will see what other musicians think of their peers.

The movie is said to feature Pimping, drug abuse, child killing, shooting, gangland bullying, theft and child trafficking, reports The Sun.

One critic said: "Really harrowing, gross stuff. Before I went, I'd assumed that if you'd seen one grime musical based in east London, you'd see them all.

The London singer, who underwent surgery to remove polyps from her vocal chords in November, will make her live return at the awards in Los Angeles.

Grammy president Neil Portnow has revealed he asked her doctor to confirm she's safe to sing.

Neil told The Sun "All of us in the industry were concerned." But added that the doctor has allayed his fears.

He said: "He performs medical miracles on many other recording artists and he told me she was remarkably resilient and would shine and soar.

"Expectations are high but they will be met."

On Twitter Jedward revealed “Our Eurovision song is called 'Whats Your Number?'. It's a really fun song (sic). You can listen to it millions of times and always smile! Ahhhhhhh we can't wait for you to hear it! Whats Your Number is gonna change the world!"

Last year the pair took part in the Eurovision song contest with song ‘Lipstick’ which earned the duo top 20 chart positions in Ireland, Germany, Austria and Belgium.

The pair will compete against Maria McCool and Donna McCaul for the title of Irish representative later this month.

Caleb Followill told the crowd at the time that his voice was “100% gone”, but that didn't stop many of those in attendance from speculating that the singer appeared drunk and unsteady on his feet during the concert

A statement released in August announced the group's cancelled dates tried to clarify that the singer not only had “voice issues” but was also suffering from “exhaustion”, and that the group simply “need to take a break”.

The escapee, Robert Dewey Hoskins, 54, previously scaled the walls on Madonna’s house and threatened to cut her throat.

At the time of Hoskins arrest, Madonna was quoted as saying “he was there to take me away… that I was supposed to be his wife, that if he couldn’t have me, he was going to slice my throat from ear to ear”. Hoskins returned to Madonna’s Hollywood home the next month while the singer was in America and scaled her walls before being shot by guards.

A Los Angeles Policeman has said that Hoskins walked out of hospital last Friday (3 Feb).

It seems that Hoskins’ next victim is Halle Berry whom it is said the convict has decided is his next victim. Berry has fled America to France with her boyfriend Oliver Martinez and daughter Nahla.

A fresh hunt for Hoskins has been started by LA’s police department. The LAPD have said “Hoskins is a very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies.” Hoskins was jailed for 10 years in 1996, before being transferred as a “mentally disturbed offender” to an equipped hospital.

A copy of her rider for backstage areas at gigs has caused a stir. Among the usual selection of mixed nuts and cheese, M.I.A also asked for "Three female extras for each show, each between 20 and 25 years old” on her 2011 tour.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release new single 'Dream On' on March 12.

The b-side of the single will be 'Shoot A Hole Into The Sun' - the first track to be released from the work Noel has recorded with the Amorphous Androgynous.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has confirmed the support acts for his upcoming tour.

The singer will now play seven extra dates due to high demand.

New dates include Sheffield on February 19, Liverpool on September 6 and Cardiff (9).

The jaunt will kick off at Manchester's MEN on February 13 and will call at London's O2 Arena on the 26 before concluding up at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena on September 12.

Reverend and The Makers will open Gallagher's shows in Manchester, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Glasgow, London and Birmingham.

Gallagher will also be joined by a three-piece brass section and the choirs Crouch End Festival Chorus and Hertfordshire Chorus.

A  fake image of the festival traditional yellow and black line up poster has been posted on The Guardian’s Tumblr site to much retweeting and disgruntlement that the image is not the real deal. In an interview with Front magazine, Rogan was asked if weed is as big a part of his life as the movies suggest?

A judge in Los Angeles ruled that the singer should  report to an official in Virginia even though he "scored high marks".

The singer was sentenced to 180 hours community service and five years probation after pleading guilty to attacking former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Brown had passed all the required drug tests and "made great strides" while under supervision, according to his probation officer.

Chris Brown will perform at this weekend's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

The appearance will mark the event were the singer's career almost ended after he assaulted the girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
