The Whimsical twisting turns of the pensive ‘Happiness’ provides a buoyant leap into a world of illusion. Goldfrapp have created something so magical and captivating that it takes a moment to find words to help justify the palpable wonderment. The enticing delivery of the chorus is an ode to musical accomplishment. Think of lying within the most tranquil nirvana imaginable and that is what Alison Goldfrapp’s words are doing. Well ok, that is taking the notion a disturbingly touch far but the sentiment remains. If the ambivalent among you were precarious about picking up the duo’s new album ‘Seventh Tree’ then ‘Happiness’ is the refreshing lift to certainty that will bring inevitable contentment.
Released 14/04/08 on Mute.
