With ‘Box Of Secrets’ finally moving towards us all from the horizon, Blood Red Shoes are giving us yet another taster of what’s to come in their debut album. ‘Say Something Say Anything’ is the third single to be released from the record which hasn’t even arrived on the CD shelves yet. Nevertheless, it’s sure to get the expectant crowd even more excited for an album that’s sure not to disappoint. It’s a predictably ferocious affair, hitting all the right notes at the right times. It all but confirms that quite a few people are looking in the wrong direction when it comes to discovering the hottest guitar-drums two-piece. As Steven Ansell decides to dictate things with both vocals and drums, the pace that gathers in the space of the song’s three minutes is momentous, leaving you reaching for the nearest object to help you regain your balance.
Released 07/04/08 on Universal.
