Danger Mouse’s existence is a blessing. His production on the new Black Keys album, ‘Attack & Release’ is sure to be nothing short of perfect. Whether it was all down to him that single ‘Strange Times’ is as ferocious and grizzly as it is, can be argued but Black Keys have confirmed their return in jaw-dropping fashion. An outrageously catchy riff revolves around every other moment of escapism and enthusiasm in the song, Dan Auerbach is at his best - self-assured and raging. The appetite has been dealt with, now all we need is an album that lives up to this glorious single. For a two-piece, this is really quite astounding.
