Black Francis - 'The Seus'

Black Francis a.k.a. Frank Black, best known for being the front man of influential alternative rock band the Pixies, has been embarking on a solo career since the bands initial break-up in 1993. Although the Pixies reformed in 2004, Francis has gone on to release two albums on 4AD and 'Svn Fngrs' is his latest serving.

'The Seus', the first single release from this mini album release, owing to the inclusion of only seven tracks on the disc, is a strange mix of jaunty, hip hop style beats of Eminem or Skee-Lo quality, a heavy bass line sounding like it was borrowed from Jamiroquai's funktastic 'The Return Of The Space Cowboy' and theatrical lyrics which comically put this track in the realms of The Planet Of The Apes the musical.
