The musical curriculum vitae of Joe Van Moyland and his band may seem one sided with their long history surrounding Brighton based indie poppers The Pipettes, but Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong are a complex mix of talented individuals that aren't scared of dabbling in the unknown and a little experimentation. A year on from their first gig in January 2007, the bands first commercial single 'Lonely Buoy' now finds itself due for release. A catatonic explosion of manic, up tempo and highly melodic guitar riffs, courtesy of Tommy D and Dom O'Dare, raises the roof from the start. Whipped into a state of frenzy with an impressively rousing set from Bummer Jong on drums, it's now clear that Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong will be remembered for much more than just their name.
