What is it with Christmas love-ins? Here’s yet another one from gentle types Noah & The Whale. A tribute to all Xmas lovers, young gun Charlie Fink sings “We’re two bodies with one heart” - which is a remarkably lovely notion for anyone in that position. But not for the bloody rest of us. Fink is producing Laura Marling’s debut album and adds some of her trademark soft whimsy in here. But what we at Gigwise would like to see is a true representation of Christmas – if any bands are up for it. Our ideal Christmas song would be titled ‘After Eating Too Much F***ing Turkey And Arguing With The Family I’m Stood On London Bridge (With Salty Tears In My Eyes).’ Who’s up for it then?
Released 14/01/08 on Young And Lost Club.
