Having made their name supporting the likes LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip, remixing the likes of Maccabees and The Rakes, and hosting the underground party ‘Kill Em All’; Filthy Dukes finally release their debut 12” on Fiction Records. ‘This Rhythm’ is electro-pop, but think Simian Mobile Disco rather than Erasure. Infectious in it’s draw to the dancefloor, ‘This Rhythm’ lusts after it’s audience with the haunting pull of a euphoric gaze, layered as it is, with the vocal delights of Late Of The Pier’s Samuel Dust. Remixes are on the way and so is the Dukes debut album. Magic.
Released 17/12/07 on Fiction Records.
