York’s Elliot Minor claim ‘to sound like nothing you’ve heard before’ - a bold statement but considering they come classically trained (collectively in violin, piano, clarinet, cello, double bass, saxophone and singing, don’t you know) it could hold true. Unfortunately, they take influence from the All-American Rejects and Queen. The result, ‘The White One Is Evil,’ could easily be mistaken for Busted/McFly with a full orchestra in tow. The talent/tutor ships obviously there, they just need a kick in a non-CD:UK direction. To the tuck shop…post-haste.
Released 29/10/07 on Warner.
