It’s a brave man who has the audacity and bare faced self belief to take on Massive Attacks stunning hit ‘Teardrop’, attempt to coax it into submission and make it well and truly his own. But Jose Gonzalez has done just that and not content with simply covering a striking song in every way, he’s heated his Swedish branding iron over the ashes of a red hot indie-folk camp fire and stamped his distinctive acoustic  mark all over it. It’s a popular cover experimented with by many; Incubus, Elbow, Newton Faulkner or Jose Gonzalez, you decide, but the sensible money’s on the Scandinavian fella every time.
