The Black Ghosts want you to know something… they are all about, well, the black. From a macabre Myspace page to the Burton-esque goth art of latest single ‘Some Way Through This’ their stamp has been set; and what a downbeat sacrifice they make for their beliefs. Said latest is an orchestral manoeuvre through doom and gloom that just about strikes a chord. Through choice lyrics and an anathematic chorus which spouts the absurdly workable, "If the sky was falling down/ I’d see beyond that frown," the band, whilst never threatening to scale the heart stabbing lyricism of dark brothers Interpol or the chest thumping upbeat of (gulp) My Chemical Romance, do show a dark promise.
Released 08/10/07 on Southern Fried.
