‘Late Night Session’ is Ali Love’s latest pop number to hit the scene. It’s a cute slice of disco sounds and funk style bass lines carried along by irresistibly happy melodies but unfortunately it is all too good to be true. The song is brought down by over Americanised vocals which aren’t strong enough to stand against the music, lyrics that aren’t particularly inspiring and as the overall sound doesn’t develop within the song you’re left with the feeling that you’ve been cheated out of what could have been a great pop tune.
Released 08/10/07 on Sony BMG.
