After listening to ‘No More Running Away’ I know I have become a jaded being. The powerful drum beat is like the strong rhythm of the heart, the piano a memory of a long journey and the crescendo at the end a work of beauty. And the emotive title, lets not forget that either.Yet these features are all mere rehashes of the likes of Keane and Athlete, both of whom got tedious soon enough. Air Traffic's vocals don’t so much lift my soul but stir my dinner with their mundane quality. Hinting at soul lifting music, this simply doesn’t cut it in the big league.
Released 24/09/07 on EMI Records.
