Alliteration. Always an awesome adjunct. Pretty perfect phonetic prose. That's enough of that. Anyways, Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong (magnificent moniker) make giddy little pop tunes. Formed by the Pipettes old drummer it contains little of their polka dot retro dance moves, choosing instead a more traditional inspiration of the sixties and then moving forward. Over in an all too short two and a half minutes 'Lucio Starts Fires' makes like a pyromaniac at a petrol station. It skittles along in the verses not unlike 'Rip It Up' back when Razorlight were good ant then the chorus bleeds in, shaking and jangling its way into your heart. It's a great pop song, with a tinge of retro none too strong in these days of derivativeness. Basically, a brilliantly brief boogiewoogie.
