Apparently, Dylan Donkin hails from a small Maui island on the edge of a rainforest where he can be found debating the finer points of the White Album and sipping on a special musically inspired ‘chill out’ juice that helps him to compose. 'Make A Choice’ showcases the length and breadth of Donkin’s musical repertoire that is comprised of pure acoustic fundamentals, cheerful xylophones and other chirpy sounds. This is an accomplished enough song with a sound that falls somewhere between Electric Soft Parade and Jeff Buckley and successfully avoids the 'Jack Johnson trap' that you’d have thought a ‘singer songwriter’ island dwelling chap like Donkin would have fallen into.
Released 01/10/07 on Wall Of Sound.
