‘Comeback Girl’ is an average pop record that sounds like it should have been released ten years ago during the high of boy band mania. The lack of depth or intelligence in the lyrics like, “Sticking on the sofa/Drinking all the soda” and an unoriginal backing track makes this song dull in every sense of the word, and that’s not even the worst part. Republic Of Loose try to sound so hard by rapping and shooting harmonies through the song it has more of an embarrassing effect as opposed to an appreciative one. And the fact that there’s a Snow Patrol mix of ‘Comeback Girl’ as a B-side, well that just says it all.
Released 01/10/2007 on Loaded Dice.
