More Stranger Son Of WB

A song taken from the same light-hearted attitude that would be associated with a band like The Eels, ‘Hot Banana Wave’ is a chaotic comical cracker. Vocalist Gareth Smith yells the title of the song excessively with a Joe Strummer like swagger that shadows the simplicity of this ‘punk-esque anthem’.
Stranger Son Of WB's song is described as ‘the best song ever written about an ice-cream sundae surfing the 15 foot-ers’ its hard to argue, then again what would you compare it with? Culminating with a Doors influenced organ strike and quickened percussion rhythms, the track provides two and a half minutes of entertaining imagery accompanied by passionate exuberance.
Released 17/09/2007 on Marquis Cha Cha.
