30 Second To Mars' Jared Leto is back and he’s gone all autobiographical. “The longest running hit in the history of the modern rock chart” sees him document his journey thus far. From kicking his skag habit in ‘Requiem For A Dream’ (“Bury Me, Bury Me/I’m finished with you”) to the complexities of ‘Fight Club’ (I tried to be someone else/But nothing seemed to change/What if I wanted to fight?), Leto is having difficulty moving on. If you add the shouty chorus of “You’re Killing Me, Killing Me” to the insignificant fridge-buzz of his pal’s guitars with a pinch of mid-twenties-teen-angst you get…well…Evanescence.
Released 17/09/07 on Virgin Records
