What can you say about Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ that has not already been said? It's rare that such a personal and dark song is adopted by so many, but this haunting anthem has helped solidify Joy Division’s legacy and cemented their place as one of Britain's most seminal bands. The track has been re-issued to coincide with the arrival of the movie ‘Control’, the biopic of Curtis’s life which hits cinema screens on October 5th, and despite Warner’s obvious attempts to cash in on its imminent release, one listen should be enough to have you rooting through your old Joy Division back catalogue once again.
Released 24/09/07 on London Records.
