Okay, they may be only two singles into their career, but the ridiculously young Late of the Pier boys are yet to put a foot wrong. By far one of the most exciting bands to emerge in 2007, ‘Bathroom Gurgle’ has been produced by their self-confessed number one fan Erol Alkan and is another appetiser of their exhilarating potential. Wholly unpredictable and erratic, the opening segue is basically two minutes of eighties-tinged chunky bass lines and moody synth-pop brilliance… then, all of a sudden, it gets weird - a sonorous Princeified space-age operatic breaks out from front man Samuel Dust, before the band delve into a chaotic, scatty mix of hyperactive electronic music and Mr Dust himself delivering several ditties sounding as if he’s possessed by the spirit of five different singers. Wrong - yet very, very right.

- Says the man from Seal Club Clubbing Club!!

- I’ve seen this band and they try oh so very hard to be cool. The keyboard player spent the whole show doing his best impression of Lukas from Maximo Park.

- I think they’re great. Their live show is pretty good too. Okay, they may not be the finished article, but they’re still only young. Who are Seal Cub Clubbing Club?!
