This summer’s been shite. There’s only been about two weeks worth of sun and don’t even start on the rain. But not all is lost. Close your eyes and turn baile funk sensations Bonde Do Role up full blast. ‘Solta O Frango’ may literally translate as “release the chickens” but there’s nothing fowl (sorry!) about this. Raw and rousing Brazilian beats and disco electro, it’s two minutes of hot and exotic hip-hop. A true party anthem, this is an instant shot of the summer we should’ve had. Who cares if it's a re-release?
Released 10/09/07 on Domino Records
