With his instantly recognisable husky voice and individual brand of alt folk rock, Ray LaMontagne proves once again that he knows how to pen a good tune. ‘Three More Days’ is a wistful love song peppered with jazz influences that draws you in with its summery feel and relaxed mood. Gradually building to a climax, the song’s only fault is that maybe it peaks too soon. After about two-thirds of the track has elapsed, LaMontagne seems to have run out of steam a bit and the song ends in a slightly disappointing quick fade out.
