This is the first single to be taken from the new album from Oi Va Voi – a band that used to count KT Tunstall amongst their members. It’s got a Gogol Bordello-meets-Air vibe whilst lyrically it concerns itself with the exploits of Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin. It’s not the first or indeed the finest pop record to take inspiration from Mr Gagarin – see Ash’s ‘Angel Interceptor’ - but it does find itself just the right side of bizarre and fun times are guaranteed throughout.
Released 06/08/07 on V2 Records
