The second single from an album that has divided opinion arguably more than anything else this year, James Dean Bradfield, probably the only rock star that would do pretty well in the X Factor, celebrates the season we’re all dreading. With a riff undeniably reminiscent to an obvious influence on ‘Send Away The Tigers’, Guns and Roses’ ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, the Manic Street Preachers are obviously having no trouble in writing festival anthems. And despite offensively poor lyrics about getting a bad haircut because it’s autumn, it’s the first time in a while that a band has sounded so appealing while trying their absolute hardest.
