Originality is obviously an absence in the properties that come with Scouting For Girls’ music. "Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but living with you is driving me mad". Innovative lyrics aren’t in there either. The tracks that are put on this young band’s latest release seem to have an air of simplicity to them. Simplicity can sometimes shine more than something so complicated, it becomes uncomfortable to listen to, but this could be mistaken for 2007's answer to Busted. Accompanying tracks on this EP seem to pat themselves on the back a bit too much. Where ‘It’s Not About You’ managed to at least give a feeling of the troubles of the relationship the songwriter had experienced, the other two tracks just give out nothing. And it’s likely that what comes around goes back around. There’s nothing to discover in any of the songs, what you hear is what you get and despite the band obviously having some talented musicians, cheesy-indie-pop is not their style.
