While their debut full-length didn’t quite live up to the promise, this re-release of their debut salvo remains an exhilarating experience, representing all that’s good about Fields as a proposition. ‘Song For The Fields’ expertly finds the midpoint between the blissful noise of My Bloody Valentine and the newer acoustic adventures of Supergrass which makes is a work of categorical genius. Released 18/06/07 on Atlantic Records
