Hhmm… so a band as notorious as The Icarus Line release a pop record that sounds uncannily like something The Dandy Warhol’s would have released 5 years ago. That said, to give it its dues; it may sound similar but is slightly superior. Like their attitude and their history, the music of The Icarus Line is just one big contradiction, and this is no exception. Continually striving to make a point of being anti-fashion, against the grain and in contempt of mainstream music, The Icarus Line have produced, at least here, 4 songs that are sure to embraced by the mainstream. My, how they will hate it.
Released 11/06/07 on V2 Records
